Thanksgiving Ideas for Highlands
Straight answers from your local party rental crew.
What keeps the cousins busy while dinner cooks?
A bounce house or combo in the yard, set up where the grown-ups can see it from the porch or kitchen window. The cousins burn off energy before the meal, and again after the pie.
Is a bounce house a good idea for a Friendsgiving?
If kids are coming, absolutely. A combo near the eating area gives them a place to play while the grown-ups linger over dinner. Browse our games and interactives for add-ons, and check the Friendsgiving ideas post for more inspiration.
Can a church or community group rent the train for a Thanksgiving event?
We'd love to. Our trackless train gives kids rides on a flat lot or field at harvest dinners and community fall gatherings. Call 828-827-5669 for a rental quote.
What about late-November weather in the mountains?
Expect cold mornings, short days and maybe some frost or wind. We stick with dry units this time of year, and kids bounce just fine on a cool, dry day. Inflatables are never used in high winds or lightning, so call us if the forecast looks rough.
When should we book for Thanksgiving week?
As soon as you know when everyone's coming. Thanksgiving falls on November 26, 2026, and the whole week gets busy. Call 828-827-5669 to check what's open; holiday and peak rates may apply.

Yes. Call 828-827-5669 and we'll let you know what's open for Thanksgiving week. Holiday and peak rates may apply, and we'll confirm delivery and pickup times when you book.
What rental keeps kids busy during Thanksgiving dinner?
A bounce house or combo in the yard is the classic pick, and a dry slide works great when it's too chilly for water. Put the unit where the grown-ups can see it from the porch or window, and the cousins will entertain themselves.
Is it too cold for a bounce house in late November?
Usually not. Kids bundle up and bounce happily on a cool, dry day. Inflatables are never used in high winds or lightning, and mountain weather can change fast, so call us if the forecast looks rough and we'll talk through your options.
