Thanksgiving Ideas for Lake Santeetlah
Quick answers to the questions Lake Santeetlah families ask us most.
What keeps the cousins busy while dinner cooks?
Put a combo or bounce house in the yard within sight of the kitchen window, and the kids will entertain themselves while the turkey finishes. It turns the backyard into the kids' table they actually want to sit at.
Is a bounce house a good idea for a Friendsgiving?
For a backyard Friendsgiving with kids, yes. Pair a combo with a few yard games and set it up close to where everyone's eating. Our Friendsgiving ideas post has more tips.
Can a church or community group rent the train for a Thanksgiving event?
We'd love to. Our trackless train gives kids rides on a flat lot or field at harvest dinners and community fall gatherings. Call 828-827-5669 for a rental quote.
What about late-November weather in the mountains?
Late November in the mountains can be crisp and breezy. Kids bundle up and bounce happily on a dry day, and we keep to dry units only. If wind or storms are in the forecast, call us, because inflatables are never used in high winds or lightning.
