Thanksgiving Ideas for Bryson City
Quick answers to the questions Bryson City families ask us most.
What keeps the cousins busy while dinner cooks?
Give them their own spot: a bounce house or dry slide parked where you can see it from the porch. Kids get the wiggles out while the grown-ups cook and catch up.
Is a bounce house a good idea for a Friendsgiving?
It's one of the easiest ways to make a Friendsgiving kid-friendly. A bounce house plus some yard games keeps the little guests busy, and our Friendsgiving blog post has setup ideas.
Can a church or community group rent the train for a Thanksgiving event?
Yes. Church harvest dinners, community meals and fall gatherings are a great fit for the Mountain Majestic Express. Kids ride right aboard around a flat parking lot or field. Call 828-827-5669 for a rental quote.
What about late-November weather in the mountains?
It's chilly, and the daylight goes early. Plan inflatable time for midday, stick with dry units like bounce houses, combos and dry slides, and keep an eye on the forecast. Inflatables are never used in high winds or lightning, so call us if the weather looks rough.
When should we book for Thanksgiving week?
Early. With Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 26, lots of Bryson City families will want the same few days. Holiday and peak rates may apply, so ask when you call 828-827-5669.
